2. Conduct research
There are two things you need to research to get a better understanding of your logo design direction: your competitors and your target audience. Doing so will help you have a better idea of what kind of logo will stand out to your customers.
Without research, you might have a hard time creating a logo that suits your brand.
Another important part of the research phase is looking at other existing bakery logo designs. Not to copy but to gain inspiration. Things to look out for include colors, fonts and the overall style of other logos within your industry.
3. Determine the type of logo
Before you start to design the logo for your bakery, you will need to consider what type of logo suits your business best.
Most commonly used logos for bakeries:
Wordmark logos: Wordmark logos, also called “logotypes" — are text-based logos that focuses on a business’ name alone. Similar to Coca-Cola, Google, etc.
Emblems logos: Emblem logo consists of your business name inside a symbol or an icon, similar to badges, crests and seals. Similar to Harvard, Starbucks, etc.
Combination logos: Combination mark is a logo comprised of a combined wordmark and a pictorial mark or abstract mark. Similar Lacoste, Burger King, etc.
Mascot logos: Mascot logos are logos that involve an illustrated character. This type of logo is a great way to create your very own brand spokesperson/ character. Similar to Michelin, KFC, etc.
4. Set a brand personality
Your logo will represent your overall brand. It's the first thing your customers will see about your business.
By setting a brand personality, you can determine a direction for your branding identity and help you grade your logo designs later on.

Colors can be a great way to help your brand stand out from your competitors. That's why, you need to choose the right colours for your bakery business. Try to stick to 2-3 colors. 6. Design the logo

It will save you tons of headaches down the line. Primarily because designing your logo in vector format allows much more flexibility in terms of scaling the logo later on.
